Today's Topic: How to setup the damn home network?

HAN (HOMEAREANETWORK)

You can NOW use your current phone line as the wire for your home network, and the best thing is that you can use your phone while you are on your network! Pretty cool huh!

All you need to do is put a HomePNA certified Network cards in your computer and you can connect to your other computer via your existing phoneline. If you have 2 computers, you can plug them into your current phone jacks, and they will work just great.

These Home Phoneline Network Cards for HAN are out in the market already and you can find them in your local computer stores. All the BIG computer and phone companies (i.e. AT&T, IBM, compaq, 3Com, etc...) are still researching this new technology. They are a little bit slow right now but I believe they will be as fast as any other networks very very soon.
